The Center for Schools and Communities provides resources on behalf of Pennsylvania’s Education for Children and Youth Experiencing Homelessness Program. These resources are available to individuals interested in the issues pertaining to the educational rights of students experiencing homelessness.
Homeless Liaison Directory
The homeless liaison, as the person in charge of ensuring students who are experiencing homelessness can enroll and succeed in school, supports and helps students in homeless situations. Search the online Homeless Liaison Directory to find your district’s liaison.
Program Coordinator Directory
There are eight ECYEH Program regional sites in operation. Each region has coordinators that will assist with any questions about specific situations or general ways to help homeless students. The program coordinators are overseen by the state coordinator who is located in Harrisburg at the Pennsylvania Department of Education. Search the online Program Coordinator Directory to find your regional/county and state coordinator(s).
Homeless Shelter Directory
The directory contains a listing (not all-inclusive) of emergency shelters and housing programs for homeless youth and/or families. Search the online Homeless Shelter Directory to find shelters in your county/statewide.
